Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City's leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.Program Description: Goddard's newest endeavor will be a transitional Site for adult families. This site will be a place where families can feel safe, receive resources and supportive services, while becoming acclimated to, and part of, the community. The Restgate is an emergency capacity transitional site located in Long Island City, Queens.Position Summary: Provide oversight, direction, support and supervision to the team at the Restgate Hotel Sanctuary Site located in Long Island City, Queens. The residence has 39 units for families seeking asylum in NYC. The Program Director is responsible for overall program quality and performance.Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pmCandidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate's number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of the program.
• Provide direct and consistent supervision to Assistant Program Director, Administrative Assistant, and Case Management team.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, supervise, and evaluate staff regularly and consistently.
• Provide supervision to staff; promote staff development, evaluate their work and initiate performance improvement plans when required.
• Support evidence-based practice models including person centered planning, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approach.
• Establish and cultivate professional and positive relationships with residents.
• Oversee the coordination of referrals within the community such as medical, mental health, ESOL, job training and legal assistance.
• Stay informed on all contract requirements, ensure compliance, and assist in completion of documentation/funder reporting.
• Assist teams in completing 2010E's and voucher assistance.
• Ensure documentation including incident reporting is completed in a timely manner.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed for residents.
• Plan and troubleshoot with facilities and security staff.
• Meeting with operations and security staff for planning and site management.
• Oversee rosters and attendance is updated in real time.
• Lead team meetings, and weekly communications and updates.
• Attend bi-weekly agency Department Head meetings.
• Ensure quality and integrity of services and program.
• On-call responsibilities and shift coverage for 24/7 operation, rotating on-call with APD.
• Ability to conduct "pop in's" at site.
• Other duties as needed.Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human services field required.
  • Master's degree in social work or human services field preferred.
  • 2 years of strong supervisory experience required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.
  • Experience working on-site in a congregate housing setting.
  • Knowledgeable on immigration laws, procedures, and benefits/entitlements, with the ability to stay up to date with changing procedures.
  • Strong understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services.
  • F-80 Certification required within 90 days of hire.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
    • Ability to develop, implement, and manage systems and processes.
    • Strong conflict resolution skills and able to showcase this knowledge.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Ability to negotiate numerous priorities and manage a high degree of communication with multiple parties.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with upper management and agency resources when needed.
    • Excellent judgement.Computer Skills:
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
      • Ability to learn database systems, such as CARES.Physical Requirements and Work Environment
