THE POSITION
The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking qualified
candidates with experience in underground anthracite coal mining.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections
aimed at safeguarding the operations of Underground Anthracite Coal
Mining. This encompasses both mine inspections and rescue
operations within the mining environment. All information gathered
during these activities will be entered into the electronic data
system of the Department of Environmental Protection to maintain
both accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
Additionally, the individual in this position will engage with the
public and stakeholders in the mining sector to advocate for safety
measures and adherence to established standards. During inspections
within the mines, evaluations of mining equipment will be carried
out to ensure compliance with the prescribed safety regulations.
Should any hazardous conditions be identified, it will be the
responsibility of the incumbent to promptly inform mine officials
and personnel to facilitate necessary corrective measures.
