Job Duration: 6 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $60.50/hr to $64.50/hr
Job Description:
Our client seeks a business intelligence engineer to be a key
partner for the client's Advertising business, with a range of
product offerings for advertisers.
We're looking for a top technical and analytical mind capable of
extracting value out of our large and disparate data sets.
You will influence the direction of the business by leveraging our
data to deliver insights that drive decisions, the evolution of our
products, and the way they fit into client's ecosystem.
Additionally, you'll help streamline and simplify the metric
reporting needs for our operating cadences such as daily, weekly
and monthly business reviews.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working through
ambiguity, conceptualizing and leading complex initiatives from end
to end, and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
In addition to working with many stakeholders internally and
externally, this role requires working through ambiguity,
demonstrating good judgment under pressure and the ability to
thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics,
reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business
decisions
Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to
improve team performance and measurement in the future
Define the data elements and data structure that our team should
leverage to enable analytical and reporting capabilities for our
business development team
Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and
analytics to enable the team to scale
Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team
regarding progress and roadblocks
Work with engineering and the data warehouse to enable the
appropriate capture and storage of key data points
Enable effective decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data
from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and
actionable format
Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions
Basic qualifications:
3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle,
NoSQL etc..
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or
similar tools
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL
pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and
Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred qualifications
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a
business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
Business Group:
Advertising Sales supports finance teams tp build out KPIs and
dashboards
6 dashboards in Tableau
Reason for Request:
Backfill for FTE going on mat leave
Daily Schedule:
ELTs, data manipulation, transformation, SQL, ingest data from
internal ad sales, prepare data marks, preparing tableau dashboards
to support finance teams
LCSUS organization - 90% core stakeholder
Biweekly/weekly business review calls
Less involved in data deep dives, building features in dashboards,
enhance dashboard, bring in new data
Majority is heads down work
Working in -2 dashboards in Tableau along with team
Collaborative team culture, team sits together in office, high
level communication
Typical week:
Team meeting for delegation/support/collaboration/prioritization
every other day
Once tasks are delegated, working independently
Role interesting:
Ads is a well-known organization for generating revenue at client.
Working with large stakeholders and able to get high visibility
amongst leaders
Years of experience:
2-4+ years industry experience and advanced degree (Master's)
Seeking 3-5+ years' experience if Bachelor's Degree
Required:
Proficient in SQL
Tableau experience
Communicate well in data space - data mark designing, data
analytics
MS Office/ Excel - VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, conditional
formatting
Preferred:
Degree or Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in math/statistics, computer science or related
field, or marketing at minimum
Master's Degree preferred
KPI:
Customer and seller engagement with advertisers, pipeline for data
renovation, time to close pitches that sellers present to create
campaigns
