DescriptionThe Thermoformer Operator is responsible for the operation and quality of bubble wrap and other similar products produced by the Thermoformer.1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pmWeekly pay with paid breaks!Starting Pay Rate: $22.75/hr plus a shift differential of $2.10/hr per hourEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Measure and test product Identify defects in productRead and comprehend work orderAccurately complete First Off Check SheetProduce product to work order specificationsDimensionsBox quantitiesPallet configurationsLabel informationPlacard informationRun speed (bags/rolls/lbs./pks. per hour) maintainedRoll sizePerforation location, performance and sizeMake labelsComplete and apply roll tagsMaintain budgeted scrap levelsComplete Quality check sheet after every roll / per required frequencyComplete Production data entry accuratelyMaintain required inventory levels for pull systemStage rolls in required locationsUnderstand machine mechanicsJob setup or changeover on machine with no supervision following standard work proceduresFamiliar with downstream equipmentClose work orders (remove job packets, placard for partials, remove materials)Identify E-stops and safety sensitive areasAssist in Maintenance PMsBear Tracker data consistently inputMaterial boards accurate and updatedHousekeeping per 5S Handoff AuditsWorkbenches clean and organizedScrap removedTrash dumpedFloors sweptQA samples neatly placed in boxesFull QA boxes removed and tagged properlyExcess or unused materials removedPractice safe behavior with regards to equipment and taskAble to resolve technical problems independentlyUnderstand RM and FG part numbersAble to count inventoryCan be moved to different machines within applicable machine or product groupSetup most difficult jobsAble to run Thermo #1Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneQualifications:General:Must be capable of reading work instructionsMust be capable of reading and adhering to safety rulesMust be capable of reading a rulerMust be able to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-pace environmentMust be capable of maintaining good attendanceMust be willing to cover another shift in the event of a call offEducation and/or Experience:Must have a high school diploma or its equivalencyAt least 1 year of machine operation experienceLanguage Skills:Must be able to understand and read English with good interpersonal skillsMathematical Skills:Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations.Reasoning Ability:Must possess good organization and time management skills and practicesComputer Skills:Must be capable of using a computer to perform data entry and printing functions requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel - preferredPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
